I created this blog to share and document my work as a photographer and graphic designer. Travelling is a main factor in my life and part of my job, so I will start to write about the experiences I made during those travels and what is going on in general. A lot of personal friends and clients try to see what I’m currently working on and see my latest work; on this page they can catch all that.
We just finished the new myspace page for dj honda, promoting his coming album dj honda IV. Check it @ www.myspace.com/djhonda

Military Minded Productions has already told you that we did the whole Photography, Cover, and Ad stuff for the new German hip hop duo GOLDSTANDARD consisting of Bastian Fleig (rapper, lyrics) and DJ Sean (music, cuts)… As you can see, we also did their website which was fitted as a WordPress theme as well…

Head over to www.goldstandardhiphop.com to see the website in its full effect!
Well, it’s been a while since we have worked on the website for the European record label Rude Boy Records. But now, the website is up and running… The website has been created as an information tool that will feature up-to-date news and extensive information about their releases and products.

You can check it out over at http://www.rudeboyrecords.net!
We are working on a couple of other design projects right now. We will furnish you with more information real soon…
Iceberg is part of the Southside Queens group C1z and also a solo artist, this is the artwork for his new mixtape called “Prince of the Throne”. I shoot his picture 2 weeks ago near by his house in Queens.

After 2Dopeboyz.com used that Busta picture I shot in there news, there goes the second one, this time, Damani, Snoop and a unknown lady. Shouts out to Meka.

So the plan was to create an instrumental album for All Killa / No Filla, but honda added so much heat to them and flipped them crazy, that this is a whole new project … welcome 2 h-mental.

This is an ad for DJ Sean & Bastian Fleig – Goldstandard. Photography, Cover, Ad, basicly everything done by myself. This one is actually shown on the upcoming music records website, that I am creating. You will see it soon.

HipHopDictionary just used one of my photos for one of there articles about dj honda x Problemz latest release “All Killa/No Filla”. Check the interview out @ www.hiphopdictrionary.jp. To make it a little easier, this is the photo they used:

Sorry that I didn’t update the blog frequently, I already have a couple of people asking for updates … damn. Well I’m still in NY (of course) working with dj honda. Him and Problemz just dropped the All Killa/No Filla album so its crunch time, I’m getting the video done and artwork for the 3rd single.
I also was in a meeting today with Gypsy Flesh (thanks Ray for the hook up) and I have to say I am really excited about it and looking forward to work with her. This is going to be dope, she is so creative … but you will see.
Some visual updates will come soon. Boy Meets World is still coming! YES!
“Pascal Kerouche is the art director at Fortress, handling all aspects of the design and implementation of the projects. He is creative and fast and can work in any genre of music. He had designed packages and covers for Jazz, Hip Hop, Rock and everything in between. He is also a excellent photographer with his images in use in magazines, websites and album packaging around the world.”
- Devin DeHaven
New Fortress Entertainment Page is up and running, more to come …
Album cover been done a while ago, finally I can release it to the public. Album will come out April 28th, 2009. It will drop on Telarc Records. Photography is done by Devin DeHaven. Also check out www.melissamorganjazz.com.

Postcard for promotion

I just finished the final artwork for dj honda x Problemz – All Killa / No Filla. Here is the Cover, you will see the rest of the package real soon. In Stores Soon!

So this morning (like every morning) I turn to my fav. Rap website 2DopeBoyz.com and while browsing the page I found a photo that I took as one of the news headlines (for a new Busta song).

I am out to Paris for a couple days. I be leaving this weekend but I will take my computer and post some photos while I am there. This is actually the house I will be staying at … don’t be mad.

So since the 22nd, there is new material online from Ja Rule. It’s actually a free (official) Mixtape and you can find it on Ja Rule’s MySpace Page. Anyway, since I been down with the Inc. Family for a while I was so kind to do a quick mixtape cover. I am too lazy right now (+ I’m playing Assassin’s Creed on Playstation 3) to put it up so check it online somewhere, its on his myspace page, or go to 2dopeboyz.com or your favourite hip hop news network. Merry xmas and I am out for the rest of the night.
So … I just came home from eating some Chinese food @ an restaurant with my girl and family, and logged onto MySpace.com to check my new messages and what did I see? On the main page (of the German MySpace) there is a advertising with a photo done by me. I wasn’t sure at first but after a close look it is 100% sure that this one is mine. Yes … second time, first time was with a Snoop Dogg photo inside the studio smoking.

Layout / Design by me, myself and I. Scott Goetz presents his new online TV show: “The Goetz Set“.

First off, I was pretty busy the last couple weeks. I was doing numerous jobs I can’t talk about right now. On the side I was lucky to shoot Jazz artist Christian Scott. His album is actually in stores now since last week and I will post the complete artwork later on. Here is one of the Christian shoots:

Since I love to travel, I just took my ass over to North Africa, but more about that later … also more pics on that later, here is just one little preview.

I just finished a new MySpace Layout for DJ Young Deezy. Check it out @ http://www.myspace.com/youngdeezy707. There are also some big things coming up in near future. Watch out.
So the weekend is over, and a couple birthday partys and BBQs later the promised MySpace page is done. Head over and check it out … www.myspace.com/christianscottmusic
He is not one of the biggest up and coming Jazz artists, he is THE biggest up and coming Jazz Artist! Album in stores soon! New MySpace Layout coming soon … ohh wee. Thank you Devin for the wonderful photos.

Now this is something WAY different. If you check my older work and this page, you see all music related stuff, and most of it rap related. Now I stepped out of that circle and went a complete different way and … it worked out well! When I first heard about the project I was scared, now I’m happy. So girls, let’s get pretty! Fore more information about this DVD / project please visit www.letsgetpretty.com

First off, I need to admit seeing Ice Cube, his backing rapper WC, Dynamite Deluxe (”Grüne Brille”), Ludacris and his partner in rhyme, Lil Fate, at the MTV HipHop Open 2008 in Stuttgart, BW, was bound to be special for me. Especially, I’m sentimentally hung up on Ice Cube since I have heard him on his debut solo album “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” after he had left the legendary N.W.A. hip hop group. All performers were fantastic, though I’m not a huge fan of Ludacris’ music. I can say it without any hesitation, but Ice Cube definitely made an impression that would be hard to top. He found the right mix of N.W.A. classic songs, solo hits like “It Was A Good Day”, “Check Yourself”, “Natural Born Killerz”, and “You Can Do It” and new songs taken from his brand-new album “Raw Footage”.
All in all, this year’s MTV HipHop Open festival was great, even though, it was a cloudy and rainy day, and the arena was not filled up all the way like in the past years… Thanks to the organisators for this festival, I hope we’ll see some other great events in future!
I was there and shot some photos. Check them below!
Edit: Inspite of that I’m not Ludacris’ biggest fan – well I got some of his cds and listen to him regularly – I was really impressed by his performance. He rocked the stage at Lil Fate’s side like nobody else from the South. Both kicked some hard bumpin smash hits like “Move Bitch!”, “What’s your Fantasy”, “Act A Fool”, … So be sure, if you got the chance to make one of his shows, then do it!
Mike

I am working on a lot of Jazz and Kids stuff lately, but who knows me knows that I can’t turn my back on Hip Hop. I love this bitch too much, so here is a little cover I did for Mac Sean. The Tease baby …

I like to welcome our new client Christian Scott to the rooster. Christian is signed to Concord Records / Universal and said to be the next Miles Davis. I will be putting his artwork together for his upcoming CD / DVD package. The photo bellow is one of the new photos, shot by Devin DeHaven.

A while ago I was shooting a German artist named Sandy Solo. After trouble with the computer, stacked up work, and other stuff, I was finally able to catch up and edit the photos. Sorry for the delay @ Sandy. Here are some first photos to look at:

I just finished another MySpace layout. This time for Dave Buckner and Jake D. You might remember Dave from “Papa Roach”. So head over to www.myspace.com/lastangelsmusic and check out the layout.

AMW DJ’s own DJ Iroc, a happy Military Minded Productions client and a good friend of mine personally just updated his MySpace Page – www.myspace.com/djirocamwdjs – with 3 new photos that shows his new chain … it’s the AMW DJ’s logo that me and Iroc created back when they first started. Check it out (to view full size photos, just visit Irocs MySpace page and add him as a friend if you are not one).
@ Iroc: So I got a Shirt, Jacket, where’s my chain at? haha!

So while I was just browsing You Tube I found a video of a good friend of mine, DJ Iroc. Check out the video, the banner on his DJ desk and the graphic you see on the screen are done by me, myself and I. On the other side DJ Iroc is a great DJ and on tour with Alicia Keys right now.
I just submitted the artwork for the coming Talib Kweli live DVD. It’s going to be called “Live At The Shrine” and coming out through Blacksmith Music / Fortress DVD later this year. Shout out to Devin @ Fortress DVD, always fun to work with. By the way … Alkaholiks DVD IN STORES NOW!
I also finished a promo website for the Talib Kweli DVD that you can find here. What a beautiful struggle.

Ok the past days was all about this Talib Kweli DVD, so today I finally found a second to edit all the photos we took 2 weeks ago. Here is a lil preview to one of the shots.

Last year I was with dj honda and DJ Rob Dinero at the BET Awards in Atlanta, T.I. was supposed to be one of the headliners and receive numerous awards. He never showed up … and during the show you hear Busta Rhymes and Wyclef Jean shouting out “Free T.I.”.
Later on the night the news reported that T.I. was arrested just a couple hours before the Award show, because they found a secret room in his house containing several machine guns. At that point everybody was going crazy and saying T.I.’s career is over and he going to face the next 25 years in jail. Anyway … a good year later, T.I. is still out and just dropped his new single to all people who didn’t believed in him … go T.I.!
Still pimpin MySpace pages. Your happy customer of the week is no other than AMW DJ’s own DJ Rob Dinero! Make sure you check out his profile, his mixes, and also his coming album “Reggae Sounds”, releasing July 9th, 2008!

Fortress DVD is working on a new DVD … Talib Kweli is the subject! They already shot the DVD in Los Angeles a couple weeks ago, and now they cutting it up. I just finished the second promo banner for the DVD. Photography and Artwork by me, myself and I. Watch out for the Cover Artwork real soon.

I dont speak japanese, but I do japanese websites! Who does that? I just finished the new website for dj honda’s record label “dj honda RECORDINGS JAPAN”. There is also a blog which is hosted by Military Minded Productions. Shout out to Gemba who was and still is a great help with the honda stuff and the japanese language.
>> dj honda RECORDINGS JAPAN: www.djhonda.co.jp

So today was the final day, and R. Kelly was found not guilty, and he is finally done with his long ass process. The team from FortressDVD is following R. Kelly around for almost 5 years now. Devin about to go to Chicago in the next few days to make some plans … and you know whenever Fortress do something, I am not too far away. So be prepared for some Military Minded Productions / Fortress DVD / R. Kelly collaboration this year, I cant say more at this point. Check the photo below, the guy with the camera is Fortress DVD’s own Janky.

I just finished a new logo (deadline was monday, so I made it right on the dot!). It’s for an education company, dealing with young criminal people to bring them back on the right side of life. The slogan is “Dax Att Vakna”, which means something like “Time To Wake Up!”
The whole logo is drawn. I’m working on the website right now …

Last time I posted I just finished the Melissa Morgan page, after that came a last minute call for some work … some other jobs got cancelled … and a couple hours later I was in Miami for 4 days. Shit was a cool lil trip and good business. Anyway, back in Germany, I am working on this logo for my homie Yash. It’s going to be called “Time To Wake Up” and it will be completely drawn, shit looks crazy so far. It consist out of 3 different characters and I have 2 done so far. So as soon that is finished I will post it.
Then of course still working on Melissa Morgan album artwork, a logo for a new records company, a CD cover for DJ Rob Dinero called “The Remixes” … so a lot of work still missing.
On a side note, Lil Wayne just dropped his album … and I just say its dope!
“Hey Mr. Carter, tell me where you been? They been asking, they been searching, they been wonderin’.”
Oh I be shooting Talib Kweli on tuesday out here in Hamburg.
I just finished a new layout for singer Melissa Morgan. Her album about to drop real soon too, called “Until I Met You”, and I am working on the artwork for it right now. Devin DeHaven took the photos for the artwork and MySpace.com page. Check it out …
Last post is a long time ago. Well I was pretty busy working on this project for Jazz singer Melissa Morgan. My first credits as Art Director. More about that later on. Then I finished smaller things for “Tha Alkaholiks” and I’m working on a DVD Cover for a Snoop Dogg DVD.
Besides that another one of my photos is featured in the biggest Hip Hop magazine in Germany called “Bravo Hip Hop Special”. This is the 3rd issue in a row that I’m in it.
Also I am moving apartments right now, all together its kind of bad timing, cause I got a lot of jobs on my plate right now with real tight deadlines. Its going to be a lot of night shifts!
Here is a quick cover for soul singer Bradd Marquis …

First off. Alkaholiks page is finally online, check out www.alkaholiks.com to view it.
Then I had a great day today shooting a couple models, they was really beautiful and fun to work with, here is the result off today’s shoot:

Last but not least I got this little girl posing nude for me:

Currently I am working on the Alkaholiks.com Website. Right now its not online but it’s already finished, I’m just waiting on the approval of the label and the group. Still giving you a sneak …

So I just set up a blog for Raptism.com and its popping already. Head over for exclusive interview with WC, and more videos (including a great new Michael Jordan commercial). I didn’t do much, just installed the WordPress.com blog on there server and also set the theme. They are also affiliated with FortressDVD.
So last night it went down … Kanye’s ‘Glow In The Dark’ tour started in Seattle. Besides Kanye you can also see performances by Rihanna, N.E.R.D and Lupe Fiasco. Here is a picture of Kanye 5 hours before the show started.

So Iroc is back in the states after the Alicia Keys Europe tour, and about to jump on the Alicia Keys U.S. Tour on Friday. The tour going to be like 3 month long so perfect time to update the AMW DJ’s MySpace page. So your favorite MySpace designer (which is me) got on the damn job. Check it out @ www.myspace.com/amwdjs.
Besides that me and Iroc working on some more AMW stuff before that tour starts. He just printed the new shirts, flyer’s, and you going to see some of my graphics on the screen of the tour thing. I been working with Iroc for a couple years now and always fun to work with him … AMW!
So after everything is handed in (DVD menus and package design), Devin hit me up yesterday with the trailer for the preview page. So we both came up with a dope as page as I think. Check it out @ www.fortressdvd.com/alkaholiks.
This is an article about “JT The Bigga Figga” in San Francisco based magazine “Mandatory Business” … all the photos you see in there are took by me. I took the beginning of 2007 in Berkeley, California … I dont think you will find any credits inside the magazine that I took them.

I just finished the logo for the Dubcnn Agency, brought to you by Dubcnn.com. Anyway, I am still working on the Alkaholiks DVD. The artwork is done, the menus are basicly done too, just the bonus material part is missing, me and Devin from Fortress DVD are finishing that off tonight.
Check ou the logo for the Dubcnn Agency.

So the secret project I was working on the last couple days is the Artwork for the upcoming Alkaholiks DVD called ‘Live From Rehab’. I did the whole package design and the DVD menu. So check out the front cover right here, and you can see some more stuff @ www.fortressdvd.com/alkaholiks. So stay tuned for more graphics from this project as it comes closer to release and I be able to really show them.

He is back! Most of you will be asking “Who?”, not Mike Jones … it’s New Child! The reason I mention is that I feel like I owe a lot to him, he was the first one that saw my talent like that and was like: “Yo come to New York, you can stay with me and the family.” From second number one I was part of it, and I love dude for that. He not only my partner in crime but also my big uncle.
He been off radar for a second, people didn’t know what the hell was going on with him but now he back … and this time he is here to stay! We just put up 2 brand new songs on his MySpace.com page, and this is just the beginning, there is more heat coming cause ‘time waits for no man’!
The first cut is called ‘Can I Ball (With Ya)’ :
“I’m the same New Child, only difference is the TV, /
only difference is my cash-flow, coming out my asshole.”
The second cut is called ‘Time Waits For No Man’, which is my personal favorite out of those two …
“Little kids with cancer, doctors with no answers, /
using clowns to make them smile, even belly dancers, /
Labels give advances, but they keep your masters, /
but I be on my Suge shit, give me mine bastards! (…)
This is your lights, your camera, your show man,
please don’t let nothing stop your flow man!”
Check them tracks on his MySpace.com page, add him and show him some love >> www.myspace.com/newchildren

Who is your favourite MySpace page designer?! Of course, the crazy guys from Military Minded! Mike just finished another MySpace layout which was made for Brooklyn born DJ and record producer DJ Edward Sizzerhand, also known as Steady Fingaz. Check it out…
> http://www.myspace.com/sizzerhand

Well I been busy the whole week working on this DVD project with Fortress DVD … here is a little preview. I’m doing the whole package and the DVD menu.

This is a screenshot out the first cut of the DVD … can’t show you who it is now, just wait a couple days and the secret will be out.
Another MySpace layout from your favourite MySpace page designer! This time we got G-Billz from the Chozen 1z. Check it out …
http://www.myspace.com/gbillzc1z

Check out the Bravo HipHop Special Issue #3 if you in Germany … this magazine is one of the biggest magazines in Germany focusing on HipHop. The issue includes a 4 pages feature about Snoop Dogg and the photos are done by the world famous Pascal – which is me!
Shout out to Florian from Bravo and the Germany’s most beautiful photographer (no homo) Murat Aslan!

And another MySpace.com page out of the Military Minded Camp! Mike just finished the Square One MySpace page and can from now on be found @ http://www.myspace.com/squaregun. Make sure you check it out!
Finally the Dubcnn.com MySpace Page is done! Make sure you check out the T-Parris Video below … more infos tomorrow.
>> Check out www.myspace.com/dubcnn.
Other than that … T-Parris is coming with some new heat!! Check it out!
I just updated the “Recent Picture of the Week” with a new one. The last one showed Syience in the studio producing and with this one you see 50 Cent with his G-Unit crew performing in New York City.

I posted the cartoon that I did off him yesterday, now I turned it into a MySpace Page layout for him. D-Strech is from Virginia and part of the group T.E.A.M.H.O.O.D.
>> Check out www.myspace.com/dstrech
One part of being an artist if you are independent and got your own company is that you are constantly working. If your situation, meaning money, isn’t that good that it works for yourself you basically work 24 hours, even if you out with friends, watching a movie, having a BBQ, or whatever, you still are working. Why? Because your mind is always thinking about the next move, about what’s going to happen if nothing happens, about anything … you basically live in your own little world. A very few people from outside circles will ever understand this mind state!
Why I am writing all this out of nowhere? Well one of my friends just hit me up earlier on the messenger, he a real close friend of mine, hit me up on my messenger. Really I personally thing without him I wouldn’t be the person I am today. He is a great rapper, without a deal, but in the rap game over 10 years and counting. He was feeling pretty depressed today, thinking about throwing it all away … luckily I could do the same with him that he often did to me. Motivation.
Sometimes it’s just a hard journey that you went on, and you never know when it finally will stop, it can be tomorrow, it can be in 2 weeks, and sometimes it never stops.
When you an artist you really go onto a journey and away from everything normal. There are different kinds of people that go on the journey. One kind of people go on this Journey always with there rope in the hand so they will find there way back home, they feel secure, they the one to give up easy and then there are the people that went as far as they can with the robe but one day the robe was at the end. They the one that took it off and went further … the point of no return!
Talib Kweli brought out an album called “The Beautiful Struggle”, I spoke with him about the title not to long after the release and he told me, no matter how hard it gets, how many sleepless nights, how many fallbacks, at the end you look at what you have accomplished and you are proud of it … that feeling is the beautiful struggle … and that feeling is the reason why most of us do what we do.
And people should never stop chasing there dream because of money. We started this not because of the money, we started it to accomplish our dream, so why should we let money take away our highest goods, we should be thankful that we have such a strong will and so much talent to go that path …
With that being said I just want to show one of the things I have just finished the other day, my first cartoon ever, it shows D-Strech from T.E.A.M.H.O.O.D. I am now going to take this image and turn it into a MySpace page.

Real fast and short this time, I just finished a magazine cover for “DOMM Magazine”. It’s not out yet but the promotion already started, the project itself is kind of top-secret right now, but I will post more info as timing is right.

It’s been a while … I been working on different projects, some of them are major projects and are secret right now. Anyway, today was a lame day. I bought this PS2 game “God of War 2” not too long ago and finished it up this morning. During the day I was working on the DubCNN.com MySpace Page, and some minor other work. Later on at night I finished up my friends new MySpace.com page, his name is Young Dice and he a talented young artists. You can check his page out @ myspace.com/guerillagang.

Besides that, happy news arrived finally today! I’m still on my 4-years old as computer working on all these graphics and photos. It gets kind of a headache and the workflow is slow too so I wanted to update to a Mac system like November 07 when I found a page called MacRumors.com … in there “Buyer’s Guide” section the Mac Book Pro was marked as “Don’t Buy – Updates soon“ … so finally today after all the wait it is a done and Apple updated the Mac Book Pro’s! So I’m looking forward to get one!! I will post a picture of my current notebook tomorrow so you can see what I am working with … and then you will know I really need to upgrade!

One last thing I just got a call a couple days ago that some of my photos going to be published in Germanys biggest Hip Hop Magazine called “Bravo Hip Hop Special”. The magazine is coming out March 7th out here and I will post some scans.
It’s finally done, online and running … dj honda’s new website. I have been working on it for quite a long time, now you can see the finished product. You going to see a lot of work with me and dj honda in the next time. Check it out @ www.djhonda.com. hondas new album is dropping real soon … so keep your eyes and ears opened.
Also don’t forget about the “Comeback Photosession”, check out the flyer one more time below and spread the word! To enlarge the flyer, just click on it.
I’m working on a couple projects right now, some going to be in a whole different direction. Also I’m happy to announce that I got some mayor work on the table and the ToDo List is growing and growing, hard to catch up.
Besides all that going on I’m planing a trip to New York Fuckin’ City on Feb. 25th – March 14th. Whoever is interested in photos please send an email or call (646) 549 6296 and make sure you leave a message so we can get back at you asap! If you want to see the full size of the flyer, please click on it.
Couple of days passed, and I’m still working on the IDA website. Also I just sold a couple photos to a magazine, as soon they are printed I will put out more details. My “To Do” List is pretty filled up right now, and tonight Im trying to finish the new DubCNN.com MySpace layout.
Today Mike finally finished the Rude Boy Records MySpace layout, of course another dope design from Military Minded Productions. There are a couple of things which will be added within the next few days. So, it’s still a work in progress but feel free to check it out.
I am working on a website for the German Chamber of the IDA. If the layout is cool, there are chances that every chamber going to use this layout. This one is just a preview, it’s not the final one, just some sample so people can see what I am working with right now. I’m thinking about flipping the whole thing and do something completely new and different and maybe I will use this layout for something else.

Steele & Tek from the legendary “Smif-N-Wessun” just performed in Hamburg, Germany @ Mandarin Kasino. As already announced earlier I was going to take photos at the show. I also took some of an interview right before the show by Nima (DubCNN.com), and you will see some of the photos again on there. Thank you to Ermias from “Du Bist Oldschool”.
Personally I am not too happy about the shots, but well, its a done deal, so here is the result … oh yeah, I found out that Tek is way more photogenic than Steele. If you want to see more shots, then check out my Flickr.com page.

I’m going to do something not a lot of photographers do, post photos of other photographers in there blog. Well the reason why I do this is because I just finished Devin DeHaven’s new and improved website. You can all check it out @ www.devindehaven.com.
Also I love most of his photography, so here are some of my favourite images. To see more of his work check out his website, his blog @ www.fortressphoto.com or his MySpace page. Also make sure you check out the “making of” section of the page. The first image is a screenshot of the website I stole from Devin’s blog.

I just finished Syience MySpace page, and he approved it, so now its officially online. It took kind of long cause me being over here and him being over there we always needed like a day to write emails back and forth. Timezones … sometimes its a plus but sometimes its bullshit. Anyway, you can view the final art at www.myspace.com/syience1.
What else I am doing? I’m finishing up this dj honda website. You will be able to see that real soon.

Been a couple days. I been running around slanging those DVDs like crazy hot cakes. Today I was working on Syience MySpace Page. I been knowing Syience for a couple years now and we used to live together for a few month. He been asking me to update his MySpace for months but I always forgot so I took a free minute. He produced a song for Mary J. Blige last album called “Smoke” and the last Song on Ghostfaces latest album, I forgot the name of the song.
As soon he approves the page I will post a link right here.

Everybody that loves Method Man should check out this new DVD from Fortress … Method Man: Live From The Sunset Strip. Devin shot the whole thing in High Definition and the HD version of the DVD just came out! I’m going to take care about the distribution in Germany, so it will be in stores real soon over here. Everybody who loves Method Man should check it out, and you can get a preview right here.

As already mentioned yesterday, I took a couple photos of a German MC called Laas Unltd. Here are two of the results. You can also view them in a larger size on my Flickr.com page.
Since the page is online for a day right now, I already received great feedback from all different kinds of people. Most of the people really dig the new layout, a few are complaining that the layout is not centered, but hey … I don’t give a fuck! I like it and it is what it is.
Today I was taking some photos of a local MC from Hamburg (Germany), called Laas Unltd. It was a collaboration with photographer Tobias Schneider. I’m going to upload some photos tomorrow. A quick but cool little shoot.
What else? Smiff-N-Wessun are coming to Germany and going to perform in Hamburg, I just met the promoter today … he was passing me a flyer, so I’m going to take some photos at the show. I forgot the date, the flyer is laying around somewhere in my room.
Hey … finally, after weeks of work, nights with no sleep and days with no food, it is done. The new Military Minded Productions website is up and running. There are just a couple things missing that will be included in a couple days. Like the navigation right now is just an image, this is going to be flash real soon. Thanks to Malte Meyer for helping out with some finalization on the coding. Thanks to Marcel for putting me in contact with Malte. Than another thank you to Murat for telling me to change the old font, and last but not least Mike from Rude Boy Records. So now it is done, I am motivated. Give me work!!! The schedule is looking alright right now. I just finished DJ Irocs MySpace page, you can take a look at it right here: www.myspace.com/djirocamwdjs … it’s done, just some minor changes on the layout and we be good.
Right now I am working on a new website for a real talented photographer and a good friend of mine, his name is Devin DeHaven. The site should be done later on this week. And you are going to see me working with Devin this year a lot. Just one thing where we both involved in is the Alkaholiks DVD. But I will come back to that when it gets closer to the release.

This is the first entry in the New Year. I just came from the movies watching “I Am Legend” starring Will Smith. Great Movie! Afterwards I finished a flyer for T. Parris to promote one of his upcoming shows online.
I also finished DJ Iroc’s new MySpace page and just waiting on him to approve it. As soon as he does I will post it up here.
“I got a hustlers soul, so I don’t need much, bag with a change of clothes’, a one way ticket, a place to stay and a Yankees fitted!”

So the holidays are over. I was sick for a couple days but I’m better and preparing for the 2008. The last couple days I spend with thinking about a master plan for the New Year and now I’m going to bring it to paper and make a real business plan.
Right now I’m still unsure what direction I am going to go. I want to do more music photography but labels cutting the budgets more and more and I am not sure if it’s really still worth it. Matter of fact is that hip hop photography is the worst paid photography / graphic industry (you still getting paid good but if you compare it to other photography / graphic design niches, its real bad!). But shit I just love what I do so what can I say? But more about this later…
A couple weeks now I got this song from my man T-Parris on my myspace.com/militaryminded page, and I got to say, he never asked me to put it up there. I went on his page one day and heard this song and I know where he coming from and since I know him personally I feel what he saying and see his struggle. So I put this song on my page and took every other song off, so people hear him.
Today I was checking some his page out and found a link to his You Tube page and he got a live performance of this song online. Check out the video and some photos I took of T-Parris back in 2006.

Merry Christmas. I did a business card for Edward Sizzerhand (from the legendary german rap crew „Square One“) a couple weeks ago and I just wanted to post it cause I just ran over it. Check it out.

Christmas is right in front of the door, so I left Berlin and went back to Hamburg to see my family over the holidays. The last couple days I was doing the assistant for a shooting with Murat Aslan, who was shooting the album cover material for a German rap group called Automatik. It was a 2 days shoot; the first day was from 10 am to midnight and the second day we were shooting from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The light equipment was rented for the whole shoot and I took it home with me after the first day and was shooting till 5 am. Here are some of the results.

I was just going through some old photos and I found the photos I took of Kanye West out in Las Vegas. They never have been online to the public so fuck it and I’m giving those out as a gift. They are also available on my Flickr.com page.

Hey everybody. Over Night I bumped the raw video file to an .mpg file and it worked fine. The quality is cool to, so I’m waiting on the upload to finish so I can send Rob a link.
I was just browsing the internet this morning and found this video. It was done during a photo shoot I took with Hood Surgeon (Dr. Dre’s son) and JT The Bigga Figga. Hood was just about to sign with JT and Get Low Records to put his solo album out but the deal actually never happened, because JT couldn’t come up with the money.
I have no idea who did this video (must be someone in the Get Low Camp), the editing quality isn’t too good either (I don’t like what they did to the photos, black-white photo but colours on the shirt … what the fuck?), but I thought I share it:
I started off the day pretty early finishing up this video for Rob Dinero. Anyway, it was the worst. My computer was bugging as it never has been before. I’m still on an old as PC, which has probably over 4 years on his back (don’t say “GET A MAC!” – I am waiting on the new one coming January 15th!). I edited with Adobe Premiere and it kept closing down without a warning. It was so bad that I had to save every single step I made … been a pretty big headache after awhile. So now … after over 20 restarts it’s finally done.
I was going to dump the footage into an .avi file to send it to Rob to approve it. So after I started it I went to the movies to see “Hitman”, it was a cool movie to see, the main character didn’t fit the role too much. After been back home I saw the file was corrupted so I have to do it again, and after another restart hopefully it will go through.
Oh the tune of the day is Wyclef Jean with “Heaven’s in New York”. I miss the city and hope to get my ass back over there by the beginning of next year. A couple weeks ago DJ Iroc ran into Snoop in New York and they were talking about me getting back to the states and Iroc recorded it. I will try to post the video tomorrow.
Here is a screenshot of today’s nightmare … oh and by the way: Never edit a Spanish video if you don’t understand the language!!

Ok … long time I guess. I was just thinking I need to write my blog again. Well matter of fact, I keep thinking about it a lot but I just don’t find the time or energy to do it. Anyway sometimes it’s good to look at everything from a distance and bring you through the day. Especially when your head is filled up with bullshit and you don’t know where to take it to.
So I had to leave NY real fast. I went out to the European Music Awards in Munich to see Snoop real fast. After that I stayed out here. I am in Berlin now doing a lot of photography behind the scene work with Murat Aslan – a young, talented photographer from out here.
This weekend I spend most time working on the computer. I have a lot of stuff to catch up with and this is my recent “2 Do List”:
- honda 4 MySpace Page Layout . 0% done
- DJ honda Website . 80% done
- DJ Iroc MySpace Layout . 50% done
- Syience MySpace Layout . 10% done
- Cash Profit MySpace Layout . 0% done

As you see a lot … a lot of MySpace Layouts, and I am starting to hate it. I just finished the new layout for New Child, a long time friend of mine. Check his page @ www.myspace.com/newchildren. The photo on the page was done by me too; I took it back in April 2006.
Right now I am about to get into the video of Rob. And will spend the rest of the night on that to finish it off. Also I am a little bit sad that Jessica Alba is pregnant … not by me. Bullshit!
